The short version
PDF processing happens in your browser with client-side JavaScript. Your files are not uploaded to our servers. We cannot read them.
What we process
- PDF files you select: stay in browser memory and are never sent to LocalPDF backends.
- Standard web logs: if we use Cloudflare, edge logs may include IP and user-agent for security — not your document contents.
- Optional analytics: we use Baidu Tongji (hm.js) for aggregated pageview statistics. It may set cookies or similar identifiers and receive standard request data (for example page URL, referrer, browser type). Your PDF file contents are never sent to Baidu or LocalPDF for analytics.
Cookies & advertising
Core PDF tools do not require cookies to work. Baidu Analytics may use cookies or local storage for traffic measurement. When Google AdSense or another advertising partner is enabled, those partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads. You can block cookies or third-party scripts in your browser. Ad scripts load only after we configure a publisher ID; until then no adsbygoogle code is present.
Advertising
We may show third-party ads (for example Google AdSense) to fund free tools. Advertisers and ad networks are independent controllers of data they collect. PDF files you process still stay in your browser and are not uploaded to LocalPDF for ad targeting. Analytics (Baidu Tongji) is separate from ads and measures visits only.
Children
The service is a general utility, not directed at children under 13.
